A Bad Boys spin-off TV series is right now in progress, yet it won’t revolve around the establishment’s dearest driving couple.
The untitled undertaking will rather fixate on Special Agent Sydney “Syd” Burnett, Gabrielle Union’s character in Bad Boys II, as per Deadline. It’s at present being pitched to channels, yet nobody was lifted it up yet.
Union is slated to star in the venture, yet establishment stars Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, who separately played investigators Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett, are not appended.
The task is being led by the film’s original producer Jerry Bruckheimer, alongside Doug Belgrad’s 2.0 Entertainment and Primary Wave Entertainment. Essential Wave is Union’s administration organization, and the potential spin off is one of their first pitched undertakings since selecting previous NBC Universal Exec Jeff Gaspin as president.
The project’s makers are Bruckheimer, Gaspin, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed and Union trough, Jeff Morron.
Concerning a potential third Bad Boys film, fans shouldn’t get their expectations up. The task was pulled from Sony’s timetable and Lawrence doesn’t think another portion is likely to work out.
“I don’t think we’re going to get one, not the way everything’s turning out,” Lawrence previously said. “Will is off doing another movie, and I don’t think it’s going to happen.”
