Sony Pictures recently declared that Tom Hardy has marked on to play Eddie Brock/Venom in their up and coming 2018 Spider-Man turn off film, Venom.
Generation is planned to start this fall, and Ruben Fleischer (Previously directed Zombieland Movie) will be the director. Venom is slated for an October 5, 2018 release. Sony tweeted out this picture with Hardy in a Venom shirt to declare the throwing and that creation is set to begin in the fall.

As Sony has called attention to some time recently, Venom isn’t intended to be a Spider-Man spin off as this will be the start of Sony’s own Marvel Film Universe, without any associations with the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach, who has taken a shot at the past Spider-Man movies with Sony, will create the Venom film close by Amy Pascal.
The studio is right now likewise building up a Black Cat/Silver Sable film from Chris Yost, who composed Thor: Ragnarok that will be a piece of Sony’s vision for an adults-only film universe.
