The live-action Titans TV appearing under the DC Entertainment name is getting in progress with casting and creation, and we now have an indication of good confidence from the co-essayist on The New Teen Titans comics run, Marv Wolfman.
Wolfman, with teammate George Perez, are renowned in the comic book world for writing Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1985, and especially to revitalize the Teen Titans series in the 80s as The New Teen Titans. Essentially, in the event that you need to ensure you’re Teen Titans anything is alright to go, you go to him.
Addressing Newsarama, Wolfman discussed his responses to the up and coming real to life series, featuring his affection for what Geoff Johns did with the Teen Titans comics as of late.
My first reaction was ‘way cool’. Next was just keeping my fingers crossed that the characters, even with changes, would reflect the same attitudes and beliefs that we gave them. But then with Geoff Johns on it we knew it would be excellent. His run of Titans was excellent. I don’t care if they look the exact same as they do in the comics. After all I don’t think too many six foot seven inch girls with natural gold skin and solid green eyes showed up at the casting call. What I care about is their character and personality, and that even with all the problems they face that they pull together and do what’s right. The Titans to me are, when push comes to shove, optimists.
The Titans show went through a creation rescheduling moving from TNT to a future DC in-house web-TV administration, and now it is all in progress. Throwing has not been completely reported yet, but rather Brendon Thwaites, Anna Diop, and Teagan Croft have been affirmed to play Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Starfire, and Raven individually.
Titans is anticipated that would air at some point in 2018.
