In March there was talk that said The Batman script would be beginning once again starting with no outside help, and now we have affirmation from executive Matt Reeves.
Reeves was a guest star on MTV’s Happy Sad Confused podcast and host Josh Horowitz inquired as to whether he would have been working off of Ben Affleck and Geoff John’s unique script. “No,” Reeves answered. “It’s a new story. It’s just starting again. I’m excited about it. I think it’s going to be really cool.”
This won’t not be uplifting news for Joe Manganiello, who should play the reprobate Deathstroke. Reeves has depicted his interpretation of The Batman as a noir driven, investigator form.
Reeves additionally discussed his meeting with Warner Bros. about The Batman. He disclosed to them that he required a break in the wake of taking a shot at War for the Planet of the Apes for a long time (it’s out this end of the week), so don’t anticipate that The Batman production will start this year.
