While we are months from the third season of Supergirl, subtle regulars for the forthcoming season is now turning out and this one is somewhat of a dismal one.
Today it was revealed that Floriana Lima, who entered the show in Season 2 as DC Comics’ Maggie Sawyer, will at no time in the future be an arrangement consistent in Supergirl Season 3. Be that as it may, the show isn’t losing Maggie totally as show-runner Andrew Kreisberg confirmed in an announcement that Lima will be back as a repeating visitor star.
“We adore Floriana and have loved working with her to tell this inspiring story. Although she’s not available to us as a series regular next season, as she’s looking to pursue other opportunities, we’re happy she’ll be returning for multiple episodes in Season 3.”
The season finished with Alex Danvers proposing to Maggie in one of the last scenes of the finale. While Maggie didn’t state yes or no, her response made it appear like she acknowledged Alex’s proposition. This is the primary cast refresh for Season 3 as no other cast individuals have been either advanced or had their positions changed.
Supergirl Season 3 will debut at some point in October on Monday evenings at 8/7c on The CW.
