“Aquaman” Movie Gets A New Release Date

The forthcoming DC Comics film, Aquaman, featuring Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, is getting pushed back as it’s presently being moved from October 5, 2018 to December 21, 2018. The explanation for this move is a direct result of James Cameron’s current declaration that his Avatar continuation, that was initially slated for that date, had been pushed back, giving Warner Bros. the opportunity to move the DC film to that opening.

James Wan’s Aquaman, featuring Jason Momoa as the title character, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Nuidis Vulko and Patrick Wilson as Orm a.k.a. Sea Master and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, with Nicole Kidman and Temuera Morrison conceivably joining the film as Arthur’s folks, is set to turn out in theaters on December 21, 2018. The screenplay originates from Will Beall, with story by Wan and DC Films co-head Geoff Johns.

Simmons as Commissioner James Gordon, which opens in theaters on Friday, November 17.
